If you need a mini countertop oven because you just don't have the space for a larger one or simply want less clutter, then the Breville bov45oxl mini oven is the one to choose.

I searched around long and hard to find a great toaster oven to replace the one that crapped out on me and this was the one I chose.

The Mini Oven Cooks Like No Other

Probably the most important thing you want to know is how well does it cook? Well, it cooks like no other toaster oven I have used before. It is just perfect. Everything works so well. Toasting bread is so easy and with the different shades to choose from, you can find what works for you. For example, I personally don't like my bread toasted too much, but my wife likes hers darker. With the easy to use settings, its real simple for us to both get our toast the way we like it.

One of the things that is special about this particular model is the "A BIT MORE" button. This comes in handy when you are cooking a new item for the first time and maybe need some extra time for it to cook then you originally thought.

The mini oven is not very big, hence the name mini oven. Therefore, you can't fit large items into it. However, it is big enough to fit an eleven inch pizza and due to its small size, heats up ridiculously fast. I've found that it cooks things pretty evenly on all the different functions. However, I don't personally use the cookies settings as I am a big cookie eater and prefer to fire up my regular oven so that I can bake more at one time.

How it Works

The Breville BOV450XL mini oven is one of the simplest pieces of machine to operate that you are going to find. Few toaster ovens are as easy to use as this one is. Basically, anyone can figure it out with ease and can be used by all family members.

To operate it, all you have to do is turn the large function knob at the top to the function that you want to use. Each function has a given preset time and temperature so if you don't want to change that, then all you do is hit the start button. If you'd like to change either the time or temp then push either of those buttons and then the arrow keys until you have reached the desired settings.

When the time has finished the unit will beep to let you know it is finished and then shut off automatically. Some individuals may not like the fact that it beeps, but I happen to like it. Many times I get so wrapped up in what I am doing that I completely forget that I have something cooking, so the beeps are a great reminder for me. But, I understand that this could also annoy some people too. It is something to keep in mind when you're thinking about buying it.
