Why you should buy a toaster oven

Toaster ovens offer so many benefits. Because they combine useful functions such as baking, toasting, broiling, etc., they eliminate the need for multiple appliances.  It isn't necessary to buy a toaster and have an oven.  A toaster oven can do the job of both of them just as well.  

Of course there are times when you may want to have an oven, for example cooking a big Thanksgiving turkey.  However, I would bet that most of the items that you bake or cook are small enough to fit in a small countertop oven (click here to see the best one).  Pizzas, cookies, brownies, pot pies, are all items that can be made in a toaster oven.  Moreover, they will cook much faster than if they were put in a big wall oven.  Additionally, the smaller size of the countertop oven will mean that you will consume less energy, which means more dollars are kept in your pockets each month.

When it comes to toasting, some may prefer a traditional toaster as they do tend to toast faster.  But, conventional toasters are very limited in what they can toast.  Try fitting a large slice of bread in one.  What you will get is only a partially toasted piece of bread.  The top part sticking out isn't going to get toasted at all.  Additionally, many things like bagels just don't fit very well.  Sometimes you have to force it in the slot and then it is a pain to get it out when it's ready.   

Another problem with toasters is that you can't melt cheese on your bread.  Personally, I love to make bagels and then take some monterary jack cheese slices and melt them on top.  Oh you have to try it.  It's super delicious.  I wouldn't be able to do this with a toaster.  Well, I guess I could if I also used a wall oven.  But, that would mean I would have to have the oven on beforehand.  It's possible, but more time consuming and way less convenient.

The point is, toaster ovens offer a lot of convenience.  They can bake just as well as your traditional oven and can toast as well, if not better, than a toaster.  Granted that toasters will toast faster, the edge goes to the oven toaster for its multi-use purpose.  You can just do more with toaster ovens.
